Why I Started My Business – A Story by an 8-Year-Old Entrepreneur

Hi! My name is J, and I’m 8 years old. I’m the creator of Bath Bomb Princess—a business that makes fun, fizzy, and colorful bath bombs for kids (and grown-ups too)! 🎉🛁

I have always loved making and selling things. Ever since I was little, I’ve been coming up with fun ideas to create and share with people. My mom is an entrepreneur, and she sells Shungite at TheShungiteShop.com. I’ve helped her make bracelets, quality control checks, pack up orders, and even go to the shipping courier! Watching her run her business made me want to start one too.

My First Business Ideas 💡

Before I started making bath bombs, I tried lots of different things!

✨ I spent hours coloring rocks and making bracelets to sell at the end of my driveway. But sometimes, it was a little discouraging when no one stopped by to buy something. 😞

✨ I’m a Girl Guide, so I love selling my cookies. But I realized that it’s even more exciting when it’s my own product—something that I made from scratch and can see the whole process from start to finish!

How I Got Started with Bath Bombs 🛁

One day, my mom signed me up for a Kids Entrepreneur Class close to home. That’s when I realized… 🤯 I could start my own bath bomb business!

I already LOVE using bath bombs in my own bath, so I thought it would be so much fun to make them for others too! Now, we’re six weeks into the program, and I’ve been learning so much about being an entrepreneur. In April, I’m going to be part of a Children’s Market Day—where I get to set up my own booth and sell my bath bombs! I am SO EXCITED! 🎉

Taking My Business to the Next Level! 🚀

I’m the only kid in my class who has expanded beyond the class (thanks to my mom and grandma’s help! 💖). Here’s what we’ve done:

✔ Created a website so people can buy bath bombs online! ✔ Designed a logo just for my brand! 🛁👑 ✔ Made stickers for my bath bombs (because packaging is important too!) ✔ Make my own business cards so I can tell more people about my business! ✔ Even got a table runner for my booth at Market Day!

It has been so much fun, but I also now understand how much work goes into running a business! Making 20+ bath bombs at a time takes A LOT of time (and a little bit of patience). And wow—building a website is even harder than I thought!

The Best Part of This Journey ✨

Even though it’s a lot of work, I love every part of this experience! Seeing my business come to life is amazing, and I’m so proud of what I’ve created.

I can’t wait to keep growing Bath Bomb Princess and see where this journey takes me. 💖
